This final design of the Messerschmitt Me P.1092 series was another refinement
of the previous,
Me P.1092/4 design. The cockpit
was again moved, this time back to its original location (from the first
Me P.1092A design) above the wings. Again,
the wing and tail were taken from the Me 262, and the air intake and jet
engine remained from the previous P.1092 designs. Armament consisted of
four MK 108 30mm
cannon, located on the fuselage sides.
The Me P.1092
series of designs went no further than the drawing board. However, the
design work and performance calculations formed the basis of the
later Me P.1106 and even the Me
P.1101 projects.
